Hi Kevin, My mother was a Florence Poile (one of three daughters) her parents were Harry Poile,the local baker,and his wife Daisy My mother was a twin born in northiam at the bakery in 1909. |

My mother was born in Northiam in 1910, she had no father. All we know is is her mother worked in the big house. Her grandmother brought her up. My mother's name was Edith Stevens. She met my Father, Frederick Loring, in Northiam. They married in 1935. They lived in farm cottages. If anyone has any info on the Stevens family please contact me. I am researching the POILE family who at one time lived in Northiam. Two of my Grandfather's brothers run the Bakers and Confectioner's named POILE BRO's I know the building that was the shop is still there (have a picture of them outside with their Horsedrawn delivery van). Would also like information on the school since I have Grandad's yearly certificates. |

Looking for Maureen, Valery and Derek Tottman, single names. Their mothers name was Iris, sister of Jack Adams. Father's name Joe. I left for USA in 1964. I am now 74 and would like to get in touch. |
